Mexico has just unveiled one of its most ambitious infrastructure programs in decades.Cell 1-1	México acaba de presentar uno de sus programas de infraestructura más ambiciosos en décadas.
The Plan de Fortalecimiento y Expansión del Sistema Eléctrico Nacional 2025–2030 outlines: MXN 624.6 billion (~USD 31.5 billion) in total investment. 22,674 MW of new generation capacity led by CFE. 6,400 MW of additional private capacity. 275 new transmission lines and 524 new substations to strengthen the national grid.	El Plan de Fortalecimiento y Expansión del Sistema Eléctrico Nacional 2025–2030 contempla: MXN 624.6 mil millones (aproximadamente USD 31.5 mil millones) en inversión total. 22,674 MW de nueva capacidad de generación a cargo de la CFE. 6,400 MW adicionales provenientes de capacidad privada. 275 nuevas líneas de transmisión y 524 subestaciones para reforzar la red nacional.
The plan targets northern and Bajío states: Coahuila, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Guanajuato, and Jalisco among others; where industrial demand and nearshoring investments are already surging.	El plan prioriza los estados del norte y el Bajío —Coahuila, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Guanajuato y Jalisco, entre otros— donde la demanda industrial y la inversión derivada del nearshoring ya están en auge.

For developers, manufacturers, and investors, this is a clear signal. Power reliability will define the next decade of site selection, leasing, and industrial growth. A project with guaranteed interconnection will always beat a cheaper site with uncertainty.	Para desarrolladores, fabricantes e inversionistas, este es un mensaje claro. La confiabilidad eléctrica será el factor que defina la próxima década en selección de sitios, arrendamientos y crecimiento industrial. Start early: Request CENACE interconnection studies during land due diligente. Secure proof: Obtain capacity availability letters before committing to leases or JV structures. Align contracts: Link PPA terms and energy supply milestones to construction and commissioning schedules.	Anticípate: solicita estudios de interconexión ante CENACE durante la due diligence de terrenos. Obtén respaldo: consigue cartas de disponibilidad de capacidad antes de comprometerte en arrendamientos o estructuras de coinversión. Alinea tus contratos: vincula los términos de los PPA y los hitos de suministro de energía con los calendarios de construcción y puesta en marcha.
